Feldene Uses:
Feldene, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, is used to relieve the inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis ( the most common form of arthritis). It is prescribed both for sudden flare-ups and for long-term treatment.
Feldene Dosage:
Adults : Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis:
the usual dose is 20 mg a day in one dose. Your doctor may want you to divide this dose into smaller ones. You will not feel Feldene's full effects for 7 to 12 days, although some relief of symptoms will start to occur soon after you take the medication.
Feldene Contraindications :
If you are sensitive to or have ever had an allergic reaction to Feldene, Aspirin, or similar drugs, or if you have had asthma attacks caused by Aspirin or other drugs of this type, you should not take this medication. If you develop breathing difficulties or allergic symptoms after taking Feldene, seek emergency treatment immediately.
Feldene Side Effects:
More common side effects of Feldene may include : Abdominal pain or discomfort, anemia, constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, fluid retention, gas, general feeling of ill health, headache, heartburn, itching, loss of appetite, nausea, rash, ringing in ears, sleepiness, stomach ulcers or bleeding, stomach upset, vertigo, vomiting
Feldene Overdose:
Symptoms of Feldene overdose may include : Drowsiness, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting
Feldene Missed dose:
If you forget to take a dose Feldene, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Never take two doses at the same time.
Feldene Storage:
Store Feldene at room temperature.Protect from light and heat.
